AKI SR at ITAPA 2025: Preparing for the Quantum Future of Critical Infrastructure
The Critical Infrastructure Association of the Slovak Republic (AKI SR) actively participated in the Autumn ITAPA 2025 conference, which took place on November 25–27 in Bratislava.

The second day of the program was dedicated to the most current challenges in the field of cybersecurity, with dominant themes being data protection and communication security in the era of rapidly developing technologies.
The event attracted leading representatives of state administration, information security experts, and technology companies from the cybersecurity sector. AKI SR's participation clearly confirmed its strategic focus on cybersecurity solutions in the context of technological changes that will fundamentally affect infrastructure resilience in the coming years.
AKI SR Presentation: Secure Future of Critical Infrastructure in the Quantum Era
At the event, AKI SR presented its vision for preparing for the quantum era, which will have a fundamental impact on the security of energy, communication, transportation, and other critical systems. The presentation emphasized that the transition to quantum-resistant security solutions is no longer a matter of the distant future, but a strategic necessity. The Association declared its readiness to support its members in an expert and methodological manner in adapting to new cryptography standards, so that the transformation process is carried out in a coordinated, safe, and timely manner.

Participation of Association Member Decent Cybersecurity in Panel Discussion
A significant moment of the conference was the representation of member company Decent Cybersecurity in a panel discussion on the topic "Strategy for the Development of Quantum Computing and Post-Quantum Cryptography in Slovakia." The discussion brought practical perspectives on the risks of traditional encryption mechanisms in the future environment of quantum technologies. It particularly emphasized the protection of personal data, communications, and potential threats to current cryptographic schemes. These topics attracted interest not only from the professional public, but also from representatives of the state and private sector.

AKI SR's participation at ITAPA 2025 confirmed that on the threshold of a fundamental technological change that will shape the country's security in the coming decades, it is ready to actively support its members – through expert guidance, coordination, and close cooperation between the public and private sectors.
