Approved National Cybersecurity Strategy for 2026 to 2030 Will Strengthen Critical Infrastructure Protection
Slovakia has a new strategic compass for protecting digital space.
The Government of the Slovak Republic today approved the National Cybersecurity Strategy for 2026 – 2030, which responds to dynamically growing cyber threats and brings a clear vision of how to strengthen the resilience of the state, public institutions and critical infrastructure.
The Critical Infrastructure Association of the Slovak Republic was also actively involved in the creation of the document. As part of the inter-ministerial review process, it submitted expert inputs that were reflected in the final version of the strategy, which confirms the strong professional position of AKI SR and its ability to bring concrete and implementable solutions.
The material was submitted by the National Security Authority, a strategic partner of AKI SR. The cooperation, also anchored in a memorandum of cooperation, has once again proven to be a functional model of linking the state and professional practice. The common goal is to ensure that the adopted measures do not remain only on paper, but actually help protect energy, transport and public information systems on which the daily lives of citizens depend.
However, with the approval of the strategy, the work is only beginning. This will be followed by the preparation of the Action Plan for the implementation of the National Cybersecurity Strategy for 2026 – 2030. It is precisely this that will determine the specific steps and measures that will ensure the practical implementation of the strategy. AKI SR will continue to be an active partner of NBÚ and a guarantor that the voice of critical infrastructure is heard in all important decisions.
