Joint Meeting of the Presidium and Supervisory Board of AKI SR – Evaluation of 2025 and Planning of Activities for 2026

11. decembra 2025

On Thursday, December 4, 2025, a joint meeting of the Presidium and Supervisory Board of the Critical Infrastructure Association of the Slovak Republic took place.

The aim of the meeting was a comprehensive evaluation of the association's activities for 2025 and at the same time the presentation and discussion of the proposed main activities and priorities for 2026.

The meeting was held with the participation of all members of the presidium and supervisory board, which underscores the importance of the discussed topics and the unified interest in the further development and professional contribution of the association in the field of critical infrastructure in Slovakia.

Part of the program also included the official termination of Lukáš Parízek's service as a member of the presidium. Due to his appointment by the Government of the Slovak Republic to the significant and time-demanding position of General Commissioner of the Slovak Republic's exposition at the International Exhibition EXPO 2027 in Belgrade, he resigned from his position at AKI SR. His new top management position requires full professional dedication, which no longer allows him to continue his activities in the association to the previous extent.

President of AKI SR Tibor Straka, on behalf of the presidium and supervisory board, thanked Mr. Parízek for his work to date, active involvement and professional contribution to the development of AKI SR's activities. He emphasized that his engagement and professional experience significantly contributed to strengthening the professional standing of the association in the field of critical infrastructure.

In accordance with the Statutes of AKI SR, the presidium elected Roman Mach, nominee of member company Dual Use Capital, to the position of alternate member of the presidium. The new vice president will serve in this position according to the provisions of the valid statutes until the next meeting of the general assembly.

The meeting of the presidium and supervisory board was conducted in the spirit of constructive discussion and sharing of ideas, which will serve as the basis for the plan of activities and strategic priorities of the association for the coming year. The goal is to continue strengthening professional capacities, deepening cooperation with both the public and private sectors, and increasing awareness of the importance of enhancing the resilience of critical infrastructure in the Slovak Republic.

Europe faces growing pressure on its critical infrastructure. Attacks that often lack a clear perpetrator or a single obvious motive are becoming tools for state destabilization. Without borders and without warning.

In the geopolitical environment of 2026, as the rivalry between the United States and China has entered a new phase of hybrid confrontation, it is essential to analyze not only Washington's direct economic and technological measures, but also the indirect instruments by which the US is weakening Beijing's global position.

V geopolitickom prostredí roku 2026, keď sa súperenie medzi Spojenými štátmi a Čínou dostalo do novej fázy hybridnej konfrontácie, je nevyhnutné analyzovať nielen priame ekonomické a technologické opatrenia Washingtonu, ale aj nepriame nástroje, ktorými USA oslabujú globálnu pozíciu Pekingu.

When people talk about climate change, most discussions revolve around the environment. Less is said about the fact that it is also a question of how the state functions — the stability of electricity and water supplies, the operation of transport and digital networks. In other words, the basic systems on which everyday life depends. Climate change is increasingly making itself felt in our geographical conditions and is testing the resilience of critical infrastructure. Extremes are no longer exceptional.
