Slovakia and India Strengthen Cooperation in the Protection of Critical Infrastructure: AKI SR and India’s C-DOT Discuss Joint Projects
At the international technology fair VivaTech 2026 in Paris, a working meeting was held today between representatives of the AKI SR and the Indian government technology organization Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT). The meeting followed ongoing discussions between the two partners and confirmed their shared interest in developing strategic cooperation in the areas of cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection, and the development of technologies resilient to threats emerging in the quantum era.

C-DOT is a national research and development center operating under the Ministry of Communications of the Government of India. It is one of the country’s key technology organizations and plays a significant role in the development of telecommunications networks, digital infrastructure, security technologies, artificial intelligence, and 5G and future 6G solutions. In recent years, it has also been intensively engaged in the development of advanced cryptographic and security technologies for the protection of critical systems.
AKI SR was represented at the meeting by its President Tibor Straka and the Chairman of the Supervisory Board Matej Michalko, who is also a representative of Decent Cybersecurity, an internationally recognized leader in post-quantum cryptography. Decent Cybersecurity operates in the Indian market through its subsidiary Arkanum Deeptech Private Limited, which creates a natural bridge between the Slovak and Indian technology ecosystems.
During the meeting, the parties discussed opportunities for joint research and development, exchange of expert knowledge, preparation of pilot projects, and interconnection of technological capabilities. Special attention was given to post-quantum cryptography, protection of critical information systems, and building resilience of strategic infrastructure against emerging types of cyber threats.
The meeting also built on the results of recent talks between the Prime Ministers of the Slovak Republic and India. In the Joint Statement of India and the Slovak Republic on the occasion of the visit of the Prime Minister of the Republic of India to Slovakia, both countries confirmed their interest in strengthening cooperation in cybersecurity, critical infrastructure protection, cybercrime prevention, and the development of an open, secure, and trustworthy digital space. The statement also emphasizes the need for joint preparation for new security challenges associated with the development of quantum technologies and the transition to post-quantum cryptographic standards.
“Protecting critical infrastructure is one of the most significant security challenges of our time. Cyberattacks know no borders, and the rise of quantum technologies is fundamentally changing the way we will protect state systems, communication networks, and critical services in the future. India is among the world’s technological leaders, and C-DOT represents a partner with an exceptionally strong research and expertise base. I am convinced that today’s meeting marks an important milestone in the development of long-term cooperation that will bring concrete results not only for Slovakia and India, but also for the broader international environment,” said Tibor Straka, President of the AKI SR.
Both sides confirmed their intention to continue expert negotiations and prepare concrete projects that would combine Slovak expertise in post-quantum security with the technological and research capabilities of the Indian partner. The developing cooperation between AKI SR and C-DOT thus represents a concrete implementation of priorities agreed at the level of the Prime Ministers of the Slovak Republic and India during their meeting on 15 June 2026 in Bratislava.
